From my experience still many photoshop experts are using the older versions like Photoshop CS5 whereas 14 new versions have released after CS5. Again, some image processing companies like Clipping Creations India which is one of the best clipping path service provider, use the Photoshop CS6 and in some cases they also use the Photoshop CC. But, what I understand is, there are some important reasons behind the usage of old versions, they are :  The people become used to work with the old version It takes time to get familiar with the new version and With new version comes a new extra cost to the person or the company But, when you use the older version of Photoshop, you can update them regularly and you can avail few of the features that Adobe update regularly.
